When it comes to dressing, there is nothing I love more than mixing "nicer", more elegant pieces with more casual (especially distressed) ones. There's just something so unexpected and interesting about these combos. This outfit is a perfect example of that.
This lace top (insert heart eye emojis here), I think you would agree, is more on the dressy and nicer side. The lace detail and beading on the back and shoulders is gorgeous! It can easily be worn tucked into a pencil skirt or high-waisted wide leg trousers for work, or over white skinnies for a more monochromatic date night or gno look, and it would look great. But, when worn with a pair of distressed boyfriends, in my opinion, this top really stands out and makes the whole look more interesting.
I added my new bag (early birthday present from David!) and my favorite neutral colored sandals and, voila- ready to go out to dinner!
