Hey there, happy Wednesday! Today's look is all about simplicity and comfort. As a matter of fact, I questioned whether or not to post it since there is really nothing special about it- except for this gorgeous bag! Let's be real, peeps. We don't always walk around in fabulous heels and eye-catching tops. At least I don't! Sometimes, nothing but a loose tank and comfy flats will do.
Anyway, back to the bag. I walked into Nordstrom's a few weeks back and immediately spotted this beautiful blue bag. I had been wanting a bag this color and was considering getting the "Perry" tote (seen here, and here in the bark color) in the same blue, but I figured since I already had that style I would try this one. And I'm glad I did. It's considerably smaller than the Perry, but still fits quite a bit. There's even a nice middle pocket that fits my laptop perfectly!
If you've been coming by for any amount of time, you'll know that I do not ever try to "sell" you anything. I simply state my true opinions on the items I wear. Sometimes I get really excited about certain pieces and I just want to share that with you. This bag is one of those pieces. So, everybody, meet my new 'York"! ;-)
Kimono Scarf: Anthropologie (old, also like this ), Shorts: old (similar here, and here), Shoes: Dolce Vita (also like these and these), Tote: Tory Burch "Perry", Tank: Hinge via Nordstrom, Bracelets: Maria Paola Jewelry, and Kendra Scott, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Lipstick: Tom Ford "True Coral"
Hey there! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was fun. Yesterday was a gorgeous day so after Father's Day brunch, we decided to go to Miami Beach and hop around a few hotels to enjoy their pool scene and decor and also some drinks and bites! ;-)
As for the outfit, I am in love with this kimono scarf. Although I've worn it quite a few times, I had not had a chance to photograph it. I love the color combination and print, and the way it just drapes so perfectly. A piece like this is an absolute outfit maker. Unfortunately, it's not available anymore, but I did link another pretty one. And, I swear the sandals and tote were a great purchase. I wear both of them all the time, and because of their neutral, earthy color, they go with just about everything! Together, these three pieces create an easy, eye-catching look that I'm really digging.
T-Shirt: Feel The Piece, Jeans: Anthropologie, Shoes: Enzo Angiolini (I could not find this color online, but different colors are available here, and similar style hereand here), Earrings: Kendra Scott, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Bag: Anthropologie(also love this and this) Sunglasses: Versace, Bracelets: Maria Paola Jewelry
A perfect fitting super soft t-shirt + a worn-in pair of boyfriends with a slight edge to them + a great pair of heels and a statement bag + a pop of color = Happy Girl in a Hot City!
Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was awesome! On Saturday, we went out on the boat during the day, and then in the evening we had some friends over for a home cooked meal that my bestie was nice enough to make for us! Then earlier today, we went to brunch with another very good friend and her husband at a great restaurant in the Design District called Michael's Genuine. The food there is so good! If you're in the area, I highly recommend you go. Their deviled eggs are not to be missed, and their shrimp polenta is amazing. They also have a great skirt steak and awesome oysters. You can thank me later. ;-)
Anyhow, this is the outfit that I wore to brunch: Nice and loose with a little wiggle room, and very comfy. And, how cute is this clutch?! I just bought it at one of my favorite local boutiques, Cavalier, located in Coral Gables. They have a very well edited selection of contemporary clothing and accessories, and carry amazing brands like Joie, A.L.C, Elizabeth and James, Feel The Piece, Rachel Zoe, Anine Bing, Generation Love, and J.Brand, just to name a few. This place is another "must visit" if you live in or are visiting the Miami area.
Wishing everyone a great start to their week! See you back here on Wednesday.
Top: Hinge via Nordstrom (worn over a tank top-also available in black, and love this short sleeved version too!), Jeans: Citizens of Humanity "Emerson", Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (similar lower cost here, and here), Bag: DVF (old, similar here, and here), Sunglasses: Versace, Lipstick: Mac "Russian Red" Nordstrom is on fire lately with their selection of great tops for summer! This particular one is part of my "new finds" from the weekend before last. It has the prettiest floral design and kind of reminds me of those romantic vintage blouses that women used to wear back in the day in Spain and France. And it is so light and comfortable- perfect for hot summer days or nights.
I decided to toughen up this top and give it more of a downtown vibe by pairing it with my go-to boyfriends, a snake print mini crossbody bag, and a bold red lip. What do you think of this look?
Hello there, lovelies! Keeping it short and sweet today as I show you this super cute top I picked up during the Nordstrom half yearly sale a couple weeks back. One of my favorite trends for summer, the cold (or open) shoulder is available in tops, rompers, and jumpsuits. It's girly, flirty, and a great alternative to a full-on strapless look. Btw, how gorgeous are these Kendra Scott coral earrings and necklace?! I swear, that woman can do no wrong!
How do you feel about the cold shoulder? Let me know in the comments below. :-)
