An Unlikely Couple

Outfits like this are second nature to me- Loose and casual, but far from frumpy, and with an understated edge. I love combining casual rough and ragged pieces, like these shorts, with more dressy ladylike ones like the bag and hat. In my opinion, this juxtaposition always lends an effortless, I-woke-up-like-this, kind of vibe to any look!

Yellow, but Definitely Not Mellow

There's just something about bright (almost neon) yellow that makes me smile! It's such a cheery and happy color, and I especially like it when combined with blues, silver, and gray, as seen here today.

These gray linen pants (another find from my recent Anthro haul, and beyond comfortable!) and navy blue tee are the perfect subdued base on which to showcase this not-so-mellow yellow. While the pants and tee look ok on their own, I think you'll agree that this look is totally kicked up a few notches by the bucket bag, and the beautiful scarf. Am I right?!

Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was a good combination of productive and relaxing- just how I like them.

Speaking of relaxing, this look I'm wearing today has a very chill, relaxed, sort of resort-ish vibe to it- like I'm in the islands or something. These ultra wide leg pants were another find from my recent trip to Anthro. I am loving this new trend, plus you can't beat their ease and comfort. Easy, breezy, light, and flowy- perfect for weekend lunches on the water.

Anthropologist

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores, and they have been seriously on fire lately! I went in about two weeks ago and, admittedly, did some damage. I swear, it was so hard not to take everything home! You may have already seen some of the items I picked up- like this dress in black worn here, and these wide leg pants (in two colors!) and wrap top worn here.

The silk wrap skirt I'm wearing today is also part of that haul. I am in love with the cut and colorful print of it. It's so happy and perfect for spring/summer!

Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend! Ours consisted of a get-together with close friends at our place on Friday. And on Saturday, we had the pleasure of attending our friends, Dawn and Eddie's, fantastic over-the-top-wedding. We had an amazing time and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together!

I leave you with this simple, yet put-together outfit that I wore last Sunday evening when we decided to take a walk and meet some friends for a glass of wine and bites at a nearby restaurant.
