Mondays

I have a love/hate relationship with Monday. I hate it for the obvious reasons (it's not Saturday or Sunday), but I love it because it signifies the start of a fresh new week. A new week filled with new opportunities, possibilities, choices, chances, etc...

To me it's sort of like a clean new slate on which to draw what I envision for my life. It's kinda like getting a re-do, you know what I mean? I suppose every day can be like that if you think about it. But, for me, there's just something about Mondays that bring the promise of a new chance to get what you got wrong last week right.

The Artisan Touch

Hello there and Happy Friday! Today I'm showing you a look whose protagonist is this beautiful, handcrafted bag. I came across this bag on another blog I follow,  Well Living Blog, and I fell in love with it stat.

The designer, and artisans that made it, are from India. Having just traveled to Delhi in early January for a wedding and seeing all the gorgeous fabrics and vibrant colors of their attire, I could appreciate this bag even more.

While the bag plays the leading role here, I believe the silk top and gold tone necklace support and complement it nicely without upstaging it. I like the combination of colors and textures going on here very much. What do you think about this look? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Peachy

Buongiorno, bellezze! I hope everyone's been having a good week so far. Today I want to show you an easy, breezy, look. I wore this outfit a couple weeks ago to run errands and have lunch with my husband.

This sweater is one of my favorites. I have it in three colors ( last seen in gray here ). It drapes beautifully and covers a multitude of sins. Whenever I find a basic piece that I love, I tend to buy it in more than one color. This scarf has a combination of pretty colors and the peach in it complements the sweater nicely.

Cozy and Colorful

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was filled with WFF ( wine, food, and friends ), my favorite kind. It seems that lately a lot of my weekends have been full of WFF, and while I love that, my waistline is starting to sing a different tune. So for the next few days it's all about calibration and rectification. Lots of veggies, lean proteins, and maybe a little more cardio.

Una Sciarpa in Seta

Buongiorno a tutti! E' venerdi! Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a lover of all things Italian. This silk scarf is no exception. I got this gorgeous scarf in Florence about three years ago. The combination of colors drew me to it immediately. I like wearing basic pieces and then throwing a little special element into the mix. I think this sciarpa in seta ( silk scarf ) does the trick here.

Gray and Fuzzy

Good morning, everyone! I love fuzzy sweaters. There's something so luxurious about them. I also love the color gray- all 50 shades of it!  I think it's a very elegant color. So, when I saw this sweater ( fuzzy AND gray! ), it was love at first sight.

And since I've never met a fur (faux or otherwise) vest I didn't like, I couldn't pass up the chance to add a little somp'n somp'n to this ensemb. WTH is up with me this morning?! ;-)

Oui, Oui...S'il vous plait

It's absolutely no secret that I love me a clever message tee. I've only professed my love for them about 20 times here on the blog and I have only about 20 posts to date! So...

This one I find to be super chic. It's made out of linen and it's very soft and flowy. I paired it with these slightly distressed skinny jeans which are so comfortable and easy to move around in but yet cool and stylish.
The nude color bag, I feel, adds a refined touch to this easy-to-wear, go-anywhere look.

The T-shirt and Jeans I purchased at Studio LX, and the bag at Joanna Paige. I like to support my local businesses whenever possible and these shops are two of my favorites. I am providing other links at the bottom cause I know not everyone lives in the area.
